Mesa Boogie Road King II Effects Loops and how to use them
Loops on a Road King Boogie can be difficult depending on exactly which settings and options you use. On some of the other Mesa Boogie amps like a triple rectifier the effects loop on that unit is difficult and can't easily be changed. But on the Road King we have serial and parallel options to play with.
Factually in my experience I dislike the parallel loops found on most of the Mesa Boogie amps - they are never very good, awkward to use and the serial equivalents are far superior. I have converted some of the Mesa loops but when I have done that sort of thing often there are other side issues that stop the then serial loop from operating perfectly. Either this or that or the other re operation can also get in the way.
Why oh why they never had the serial loop is beyond me. But I'm sure there was a reason ;-)
